The National Police Commission conducts two sets of police examinations twice a year, one for those who are already in the police service (promotional), and another for those aspiring to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP entrance).

Applicants shall utilize the On-Line Exam Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) to request the Regional Office for their schedule on the filing of examination application. Applicants will personally appear at the NAPOLCOM Regional Office on the date assigned to them, with their printed on-line Confirmation Letter, filled-out Application Form and other required documents, for further evaluation.

NAPOLCOM COMPUTER ASSISTED EXAMINATION (CAEx) ANNOUNCEMENT
The NAPOLCOM Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) for the PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age and educational requirements, as well as to Police Officers I (PO1) whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility. In line with the Commission's continuing thrusts to ensure the absolute integrity of its systems and processes, we are hereby serving notice that the Computer-Assisted Examination scheduled from July 9 to September 26, 2019 are temporarily suspended until further notice.
PESE EXAMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Police Commission announces the conduct of the 13th POLICE EXECUTIVE SERVICE ELIGIBILITY EXAMINATION for all qualified uniformed members of the PNP with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) with permanent status of appointment.
A total of 76 or only 28.25% of the 269 Police Lieutenant Colonels passed the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) Written Examination conducted on August 25, 2019 in Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City.

NAPOLCOM confers PES Eligibility to 80 PNP officials

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) conferred the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) certificates on the 80 police officials who successfully passed the NAPOLCOM-administered police eligibility examination for the third level ranks in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao was joined by Commissioner Felizardo M. Serapio, Jr., Commissioner Job M. Mangente and Commissioner Zenonida F. Brosas in awarding the certificates of eligibility during the 14th PESE Conferment Rites which was held at the Jesse M. Robredo Hall, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center in Quezon City on December 12, 2019.
The topnotcher of this year’s PESE examination is PLTCOL Erwin I. Portillo, Jr., Deputy Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division (RPRMD), Police Regional Office (PRO) 8. He got the top score among the 80 senior police officials who passed the PESE Validation Interview conducted on November 23-24, 2019.
Other PNP officials who made it to the top five are: PLTCOL Jean I. Dela Torre, Chief of the FBFS, Administrative and Resource Management Division, Civil Security Group (CSG), PNP NHQ, Camp Crame, Quezon City (Top 2); PLTCOL Victorio M. Dela Peña Jr., Assistant Chief of the Information System Security Division, Information Technology Management Service (ITMS), PNP NHQ, Camp Crame, Quezon City (Top 3); and PLTCOL Reynaldo T. Calaoa who is currently attending Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC) at the National Police College, Philippine Public Safety College, Silang, Cavite (Top 4).
Two (2) police officials shared the Top 5 place, namely PLTCOL Reynato V. Mauricio, Jr., Assistant Chief of the RID, PRO ARMM, Camp General Salipada K Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao; and PLTCOL Ranny T. Tapat, Camp Commander at the Philippine National Police Academy, Silang, Cavite.
“The 80 passers represent 54.79% of the 146 police officials who underwent the validation interview last November 23 and 24, 2019,” Atty. Casurao said.
The PESE which has two (2) phases, the written examination and the panel interview, is an eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Colonel, Police Brigadier General, Police Major General, Police Lieutenant General and Police General.
The PESE tests contain analytical questions on police leadership and police values designed to select the best future leaders in the police service.

The Public Assistance Unit (PAU) is tasked to receive calls involving police anomalies and irregularities and take appropriate actions as necessary and dispatch IMIS personnel to monitor, validate and investigate legitimate reports/complaints within 24 hours from receipt thereof.The PAU renders duty on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.
